Gold price today: How much 22K, 24K gold cost in Delhi, Kolkata & other cities – Check rates
Gold prices opened lower on Thursday amid a mix of technical pressures and global macro cues, while silver traded higher.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), February gold futures slipped Rs 324 to trade at Rs 1,37,685 per 10 grams, reflecting mild profit-booking after recent volatility. The subdued trend in gold followed a choppy week for bullion markets, with strong US labour market data and a firmer dollar weighing on sentiment.
MCX data showed broader weakness across gold contracts, with the February, April and June futures all trading lower in early deals.Gold prices traded lower on Thursday, extending recent weakness amid technical pressure across contracts.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), February gold futures fell Rs 990, or 0.72%, to Rs 1,37,019 per 10 grams, after opening at Rs 1,37,996 and touching an intraday low of Rs 1,36,500.
Trading volumes stood at 3,954 lots, while open interest was recorded at 14,962 lots, MCX data showed.Losses were seen across the curve, with April gold futures sliding Rs 1,132, or 0.80%, to Rs 1,40,840 per 10 grams, while June contracts declined Rs 1,187, or 0.81%, to Rs 1,44,993 per 10 grams.
The August gold contract also edged lower, down Rs 342, or 0.23%, at Rs 1,48,826 per 10 grams.Here is how much gold costs in your city today:
