Gold prices inched up to Rs 1,30,638 per 10 grams on Monday, even as silver futures slipped to Rs 1,82,600 per kg, with investors turning cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s final policy meeting of the year. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), February 2026 gold futures rose by Rs 176, or 0.13%, to Rs 1,30,638 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 13,134 lots.
Last week, the precious metal had gained Rs 958, or 0.74%. Globally, gold remained steady as markets await cues from the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision.
On the Comex, February gold futures were flat at $4,244.2 per ounce, after the metal slipped $11.9, or 0.28%, over the previous week.
