The Hyderabad-based AM Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Invest UP of the UP govt at the WEF in Davos for the proposed project.AMG said the project is expected to attract significant foreign direct investment and generate thousands of high-skilled jobs in the region, fostering an ecosystem for hardware manufacturing, software development, and specialised cooling tech.
The GW-scale infrastructure will include around 500,000 latest high-performance chipsets and will leverage AMG’s renewable energy for 24/7 carbon-free energy, including wind, solar, and pumped storage. “As India’s demand for high-performance computing and AI workloads surges, this facility will be designed to meet the requirements of global hyperscalers, frontier labs, enterprises, and India’s sovereign AI initiatives at scale and in a speedy manner using carbon-free energy,” AMG said.
