<h2>Terms</h2> <p> of reference talks for Canada FTA soon: Piyush Goyal” decoding=”async” fetchpriority=”high”/></p></div> </div> </div> </section> </div></div> </div> <p>NEW DELHI: India will soon start discussing terms of reference (ToR) for a proposed free trade agreement (FTA) with Canada, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said on Monday.</p> <p>The ToR will define the scope and structure of the negotiations and is first formal step towards reviving talks that were paused by Canada in 2023.</p> <p><span class=“We are soon going to launch discussions for terms of reference with Canada,” Goyal said.

He added that negotiations with the US were progressing well.

“We are already at an advanced stage in our discussions with the US.”
